Licorice (or liquorice) is the root of a plant called also known as "sweet root". It’s native to Europe and Asia. Liquorice flavours are used as candies or sweeteners Licorice Root is a delightfully sweet with a real depth of flavour. Licorice has been used in food for thousands of years. To prepare a tea, place a saucepan filled with 250 ml of water on medium heat. Before the water starts boiling, add 1 tbsp the Licorice Root. Allow the mixture to come to a boiling point. Turn off the burner and steep it for 5 to 7 minutes. Strain the mixture and drink. You can also add 1-inch fresh ginger while steeping the tea.
