With fresh lemon zest woven throughout, this sauce has a crisp wine finish and the pleasant tartness of capers mixed in a refreshing blend that will enhance, not overpower, the flavor of your favorite fish and meats. Use it anytime to enjoy the lemony taste of summer, especially the ever-popular chicken or veal piccata. Simple cuts of meat or vegetables can become mouth-watering gourmet meals with the right sauce. I created seven flavors that can help the most time-starved cook pull together a great, fool-proof meal in minutes. I’ve selected fine ingredients, blended them perfectly, limited preservatives and reduced sodium. They are low sodium, low fat, vegan friendly and six of the seven are gluten-free. See nutrition labels. These sauces are versatile. Not only does each of them go with beef, chicken, pork, and fish, they can also be used in whatever style of cooking you enjoy. Bake, simmer, slow-cook, grill, instant pot and sous vide cooking with these sauces. You can even spice up salads, party appetizers and side dishes. Each jar of sauce is a welcome answer to the dreaded what’s-for-dinner question. Serving Suggestions Use to poach or bake light fish such as sea bass, salmon or cod. Can also be used for a light pasta sauce. Directions for Chicken Piccata To prepare in oven: pour 1 jar lemon caper sauce in casserole dish over 4-6 chicken breasts, coating chicken on all sides. Cover dish and bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove cover, spoon sauce over each breast and continue cooking 10 more minutes or until done. To prepare in skillet: coat 4-6 chicken breasts in flour if desired. Heat 2T olive oil in a skillet on medium-high heat. Brown chicken on each side, pour sauce over chicken and simmer until done.
