L&B Essentials Fire Pit Mat Our mat is designed to protect your various outdoor living surfaces from heat and fire damage that can be caused by fire pits. Whether your fire pit is on grass, wood, patio stones or concrete, you can be rest assured that your surfaces will be protected. This 40 x 40 mat covers a large surface area to accommodate various sizes of fire pits and grills, the 2mm thickness of the mat ensures ample protection to your surfaces. The fireproof, heat resistant mat is fabricated with an outer layer of heat resistant reflective aluminum foil coated with a 0.45mm thick fiberglass fabric that is cool to the touch with a heat rating of up to 1300 DegF. The centre is insulated with 2mm of thermal, heat insulated and fire resistant cotton with an anti slip bottom for extra safety measures. How to Set Up: Lay mat flat below the firepit or grill with the shiny, reflective side facing up Secure mat on the grass using the 4 grommet holes if needed. Anti slip bottom helps secure mat to wooden and stone surfaces Place firepit on top of mat leaving a minimum of 3 airspace between, for air flow purposes Follow cleaning instructions when finished. Cleaning Instructions: Clear mat of popping embers as they land, wipe down with lukewarm soap and water following each heavy use, do not scrub as this can irritate the aluminum coating.
