For the health of your pet, it is suggested to change the water and clean the fountain once a week. 3. The highest water level is 3/4 of the fountain height and the lowest water level is no more than the water pump. Sometimes the noise the consequence of a low water level and dirty impeller. Please make sure the water level is high enough and clean the pump impeller according to the instructions. 4. To prevent the activated carbon dust from shedding, please soak the filter in water for 2 minutes and rinse it thoroughly under running water before use. The filter should be changed every 2-4 weeks. Replace the cat fountain filter sponge once a month. 5. Please keep your pet away from biting the wire.   Water pump cleaning instructions Step 1: remove the pump cover and remove the impeller cover. Step 2: cover the impeller with the ring of the brush handle and take it out. Step 3: clean the pump with a brush, soap and warm water. Step 4: install the impeller, cover the impeller cover and the pump cover.
