Hapao refers to the technique of alternating the color from a light natural to dark mocha when weaving the rattan peel over the rattan vine. The vine is the tubular core of the weave while the split is wrapped around it. This rattan caddy is finished with a coating of clear lacquer and cleans easily with a damp cloth.
