Step 2: Use a hole puncher to punch a Dia. 0.6" knockout on junction box if needed. Step 3: Screw out the lock nut from the sensor. Step 4: Let the sensor's eye go through the knockout then secure the sensor with the lock nut. Step 5: Connect the wires according to the wire diagram, black to black (Line), white to white (Neutral), red to Load. Tips: When you decide where to install the sensor: 1, Do not face the photocell into the midday sun. If the photo control is installed on the south side of a building, face the photocell east or west or point the photo control down toward the ground. The best direction to face the photo control is north. 2, Do not face the photocell to artificial or relected light. Light from windows, signs, street lights, etc., will cause the photo control not to switch on or cause the light to cycle on and off at night. HOW TO TEST: Step 1: Turn ON the light power, then wait up to 5 minutes for the photocell to switch it OFF. Step 2: Cover the photocell eye completely with black tape or other dack material to simulate night condition. Wait about 8~15s, the light should be switched OFF.
