Create amazingly unique invitations and art projects with 5x7" Handmade Lokta Paper Card Stock with natural decorative marigold petals to give your wedding invitations or special event announcements a beautiful look. These decorative pages are smaller sheets great for stationery projects or invitations! Unique deckle (rough cut) edge makes this thick lokta paper great for printing projects, scrapbooking, special invitations for weddings or parties, or art projects that could use a touch from natural printer paper with a unique, fabric-like feel and a natural edge. The paper also comes from a renewable source. Lokta paper is made from fibrous strips of the lokta bushes inner bark. The strips are cooked in vats, creating a mashy pulp which is spread by hand across boxed screens and set to dry in the Himalayan sunshine of Nepal. Lokta bushes quickly regrow after being cut, making it a renewable source for the lokta paper. The paper is acid-free and is a great for creating natural labels, printing inserts, as decorative paper, or other fun projects. The paper can be used in both laser and inkjet printers and can also be used for handwritten notes or even book binding projects. This paper's thickness is similar to card stock but due to the handmade nature, color, thickness, and exact measurements can vary from batch to batch. Due to the deckle edge, we recommend printing one page at a time. For handwritten projects, the fibrous nature does allow for some feathering and ghosting if writing with pens with heavy ink. The paper contains some natural flecks from the lokta bark which adds to its character making each page unique. The paper has a beautiful natural texture with one side smooth from the screen used to create the paper, and the opposite side with a unique natural texture from when the paper formed. Kathmandu Valley Co. paper is 100% lokta. Thank you for being a part of a tradition that spans over 1,000 years of handmade paper making
