ALL SEED LOTS ARE TESTED FOR GERMINATION. Delicious. No garden is complete without Kale. highly popular kale, it is high in vitamins and minerals. Lovely kale yields one foot short stemmed plants with finely curled blue green leaves that are tender and sweet to taste. It is never bitter. This variety may be boiled, steamed, and stir-fried. It is also good eaten raw in salads and sandwiches. It freezes well. Vigorous 15 inch plants with 30 inch spread. Slow bolting. It stands well and maintains it's color. Heavy yields and very uniform. Excellent choice! Plant outdoors in the spring after danger of frost has passed. Sow seeds 1/4-1/2 of an inch, covering with fine soil, in full sun. Keep moderately mois Extremely high in antioxidants and beta carotene. Kale is a real super-food! This variety is no exception and it is very flavorful. TIP Kale is much tastier (to me) after the first fall freeze or harvest leaves while they are still young.. Kale is easily grown from seed. They do prefer a cooler growing temperatures. So it is best to plant them in early spring, as soon as the soil is workable or in the fall for end of year growth. They can be grown for a fall crop and seed should be planted in late July for an early fall crop. Kale are high in vitamins and a healthy choice of vegetable to add to your diet. They taste delicious steamed, stir-fried, added to soups and are great to mix with other greens. Traditional greens are most often grown in the South. They can be grown in most area in the US. Maturity is 50-65 days. Seeds can be sown directly into garden when soil is warm. Zones 3-10 All seeds are packaged and for the current growing season. PLEASE SEE MY OTHER SEED LISTINGS
