The fuming qualities and good mechanical properties make low fuming bronze a widely used general Purpose rod. With a low melting point of 1620 C., tinning properties are excellent. It can be easily controlled by the welder. Penetrates deeply into cracks and seams, building a sound, nonporous deposit of weld metal. Low fuming bronze is used for strong color matching joints in iron and steel, and for bearing surfaces. It does require a flux 36-Inch cut length.
