TTL-232R-5V cable is a series of USB to TTL serial UART converter cables that combine the FT232RL USB to serial UART interface chip device, which can handle all USB signals and protocols. This cable provides a quick and easy way to connect TTL-level serial port devices to USB. Each TTL-232R cable contains a small internal electronic circuit board, using the FT232R molded into one end of the cable's USB connector. The cable supports FTDIChip-ID, with a unique USB serial number, written into the FT232R. This feature can be used to create a security code or password to protect file transfers when using the cable.
