Support Puerto Rico While Drinking Coffee! Since 2016 our goal has been to bring back the coffee producing potential of the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. The island has a rich history of Coffee but most people have never tried it, since production has fallen in the last half century. Our coffee is organic shade grown and medium roasted on a 100 acre family farm in the mountains of Adjuntas. The flavor is Smooth and packed into a non plastic biodegradable bag. We don't blend our coffee with coffee from other countries, and only pick the coffee bean when it is red and ripe (called the coffee cherry because its resemblance to a cherry). The largest difference in Specialty Puerto Rican coffee isn't in the coffee itself, since other countries are also capable of producing organic coffee.It's the fact that the farmers get paid U.S. wages (since its a U.S. territory). Which is substantially higher than what the hard working farmers in other coffee producing countries get paid for a days work. (Our goal is to change that too...but that's down the line). You see just because coffee has emerged very popular and profitable most of the farmers that actually bring it to us have not felt the benefit.
