The Ultramar Blue Oil Stick is made from modifications in the Joules & Joules Cobalt Blue paint recipe. In this process, safe proportions of beeswax and carnauba wax are added to ensure a dry outer skin and a solid, creamy consistency on the inside. Ultramarine Blue has a violet-blue hue, very resistant to light, transparent and with moderate coloring power. Pigment: Sodium aluminum complex silicate with sulfur (PB 29). Vehicle: Safflower Oil and Cold Pressed Linseed Oil. Stabilizers: Beeswax and Carnauba Wax TRANSPARENT. PERMANENCE Lightfastness: I (Excellent) Degradation processes: It quickly becomes discolored by the action of weak acids, which attack it forming hydrogen sulfide. Avoid mixing with chrome yellow.
