2.5" x 10" Refillable Filter Cartridge. Sturdy clear barrel with blue end caps. Manufactured by injection molding, using food grade virgin polypropylene, our filter cartridge is extremely durable and seals tightly when closed, due to the 'O' ring design. We have used the cartridge extensively for filter media evaluation and in the manufacture of filters for sale. Filter performance is outstanding. The filter contains inlet/outlet frits to prevent media leakage, rubber gasketed outlet, and comes standard with a filter outlet sponge to prevent filter plugging from fines. This is a well designed, premium quality refillable cartridge, suitable for all media. Just a few of the potential applications are mixed bed ion exchange for saltwater/reef aquariums; granulated carbon for removal of chlorine, taste, and odors; RO water remineralization and acid reduction; KDF-55/KDF-85 media for removal of chloramines and iron.
