In the spirit of Honest Abe, we need to level with you about a few things.

- We don't actually know what Abraham Lincoln smelled like. We sort of assume that everyone in 19th Century America smelled like stale wool, coal smoke, and armpits, but we didn't want the candle to smell like that. So instead, it smells how we imagine a frontier log cabin did: seasoned logs, woodsmoke, and a little mustiness.

- You could probably save money by making your own Lincoln-scented candle at home. Because, believe it or not, wax is pretty cheap. You probably CAN afford that wax house you've been dreaming about.

- When we say our candles are a "soy wax blend," people probably assuming we're blending soy wax with gold dust, or powdered diamonds. But we're just blending it with other kinds of wax. (Not ear wax.)

- Candlemaking is hot work, and there is a 50/50 chance that when we poured this candle we weren't wearing pants.
