This peppercorn is actually comes from the berries of a small ash tree found in the Szechuan region of china, hence the name. It has a spicy, citrus, woody aroma that give a tingling sensation to the tip of the tongue. It is commonly found in Asian cuisine. Commonly found in Asian cuisine, but also great with steak, chicken, potato dishes and soups. For best results, grind just before use.
