Product Description The IRWIN SPEEDBOR Blue Groove Spade Bit features a blue-groove point and cutting edge for ejecting chips four times faster than standard spade bits. These spade bits have double cutting spurs to scribe the outside of the hole to reduce breakout and 10% larger and 40% thicker grooved hex shanks* for added durability. Fits all standard quick change chucks. From the Manufacturer Speedbor 2000 Wood Boring Bits, 1-1/8 inches diameter and 6 inches long, for 1/4-inch and larger electric drills. Bits are forged in one piece from Irwin's own special grade tool steel and heat-treated full length for extra overall strength. Micro-groove point and cutting edges have extended spurs for faster, cleaner boring action; bores two times faster, lasts three times longer.
