This ready to hang, matted framed art piece features a bridge over a river in the wilderness. Jasper Francis Cropsey (18 February, 1823 - 22 June, 1900) was an American landscape artist and a first generation member of the Hudson River School. He was trained in architecture, which is evident in his precise arrangement of outline and form, but he was best known for his lavish use of color. Though he died in anonymity, his works were rediscovered by galleries and collectors in the 1960's and hang in most major American museums today. An 11x14 giclee print under acrylic in a 16x20 black frame. Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating museum quality fine art reproductions. This high quality print is matted using antique white matting and comes in a black frame. A clear acrylic facing is added to protect the print. The piece is fully assembled by professional frames and comes ready to hang. The antique white mat allows the image to really stand out, making it a great addition to any space.
