I Beheld His Glory

I Beheld His Glory tells the story of Cornelius (George Macready), a Roman centurion on guard the day Jesus Christ (Robert Wilson) was crucified. A disbeliever until that fateful day, Cornelius eventually comes to accept that Jesus was the Son of God, and relates his recollection of the events leading up to the crucifixion, as seen through his eyes. I Beheld His Glory was filmed with great reverence in 1953, and has remained a perennial favorite ever since.
