Amazon.com Hot Wheels Tech Trax line manages to cleverly combine the traditional fun of racing tiny cars with the added challenge of construction toys to form a unique and compelling new way of play. Follow the included instructions in this set of more than 50 modular pieces to form one configuration or, if you want to have more fun, come up with your own sets upon which to race your Hot Wheels cars. The scaffolding that comes in the set is adjustable, allowing you to create multiple degrees of steepness on the track and the big green plastic tube that it all comes in can also be used to prop things up. This particular kit features a special mechanism which flips the cars when they go across, adding drama and certainly more than a few wrecks. But the kit, which does not include any vehicles, is probably better purchased as an add-on to an already expanding Tech Trax set up instead of as a starter kit. --Charlie Williams
