Ficus Simplicissima is a shrubs, 1-2.5 m tall, stems not or only occasionally branched. Branchlets cylindric, rugose when dry; with sparse short thick barbed hairs. The barbed hairs are a characteristic of this species. Common names: Hispid Fig and Fairy Mountain Fig. Distribution zone includes: Fujian, Guangdong, Hainan, Guangxi, Guizhou, Yunnan provinces of China; also in Bhutan, N. E. India, Nepal, Malaysia, Indonesian islands of Java and Sumatra, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam. In medicine are used roots, pharmaceutical name: Radix Fici Simplicissimae.
