Planting Chives: soak seeds overnight before planting for best results. Direct sow - 1/4 inch deep after late frost - full sun - very well-drained soil - keep soil evenly moist.
To harvest, snip the tender green stems periodically throughout the spring and early summer. Once the plant begins to flower, the stems tend to toughen up.
