Some of the dialogue in this jejune gorefest is inadvertently hilarious. Seras asks another vampire, "How long have you been undead?" and a British Army officer says of suspected IRA members, "Even if they are no longer human, that doesn't mean their guilt as terrorists can be erased." Sir Integra is attacked by a vampire in episode 9 and stabs herself in the throat, rather than be enslaved by her own now-tainted blood.
