Heather (Calluna Vulgaris) is a 20-50 cm tall sub-shrub that has a large number of upright branches of reddish brown color, with small and very numerous leaves with also very small purple-pink flowers that form a terminal cluster. It is native to Europe, North Africa and America, very widespread in sterile and acidic terrain such as peatlands and moors.
