Every single set is hand sanded and painted. After being stained, these coasters are given a coating of urethane to waterproof and protect them. This prevents stains and discoloration. The coating will settle into the engraved portions of the coaster, leaving a 3D layering that enhances the effect of the engraving. I only use the highest quality paints and sealants, and every set will last for years of use. I happily make custom coasters featuring your own art or modify this for you.
