These baby's mis-matched Fair Isle-inspired striped mittens are fraternal twins -- the colors are the same but the stripe sequencing is different. The lightweight, wool/nylon blend mittens without thumbs are hand knit in smooth stockinette stitch. Ribbed cuffs gently hug the wrist. Left and right mitts are interchangeable, and the thumbless design allows them to easily slip onto tiny hands.
These traditionally knit mittens are knit in-the-round for seamless construction. Made with super fine weight yarn on US size 1 double-pointed needles (not cranked on a machine). The tightly knit gauge increases the warmth and durability of the fabric.
OPTIONAL COAT CORD Mittens are available in two styles: with and without a coat cord. A coat cord will help prevent the mittens from being lost. To use the coat cord, simply slip each mitten through a jacket sleeve and secure the center of the cord to the inside back neck of the jacket with the provided safety pin to hold it in place.

Fiber Content and Care: Mittens are made from long-wearing, four-ply yarn (imported from Italy) that is a blend of 70% superwash wool/30% nylon. Superwash wool does not felt. Hand or machine wash in cold water. Do not wring or twist. Do not bleach or iron. Reshape and lay flat to dry.
