Hand Blown Glass Christmas Ornament - Feather Ball

The hand blown lampwork glass ball is made out of borosilicate or boro glass and surrounds 1 blue feather. It is a handmade piece of art by me, Kyle Keeler. The glass ornament also comes with a story I wrote involving a Carolina Wren. You are purchasing an ornament similar to one seen above. There is more than one available. The inspiration for the feather ball came from an experience I recently had with a Carolina Wren. In February, I took two months off to remodel my kitchen. Upon returning to the studio I discovered a wren had built a nest in a container on a shelf in the corner of my studio. THE SYMBOLISM OF THE FEATHER BALL The feather represents a dream or goal that you have and the clear glass surrounding it represents the importance of seeing that dream every day and protecting it, until it can fly.
