Hammered Recycled Copper 2" Large Hoops Earrings

These super hot hoops start out as messy copper wire. I first cut the wire to the desired length. I then torch it until it is red hot. I quench it in water and make the loop. Then I wrap it around my desired size metal mandrel. I then wrap the end around the loop to secure it. Then I take my hammer and strike it to give it the awesome texture. Then it is placed in a pickle bath to clean the copper. After it is cleaned I buff it up to a high shine. This pair is appx 2". These earrings are solid copper and unsealed. They will change color. I enjoy watching them darken and change. You can always get some copper cleaner and bring them back to the original color. The ear wires are Niobium. They have worked very well for my customers with sensitive ears. They ship in an organza bag...perfect for gift giving.
