Hammer Stahl 8 inch Sharpening Steel

This 8 inch sharpening steel is excellent for honing and maintaining an exceptional edge. Instructions for use: Sharpening - Hold your knife to the sharpening steel at about a 20 degree angle. Start with the heel of the blade against the steel and tip pointed slightly upwards, and slide the blade downwards and back until the blade is horizontal and the tip of the blade is against the steel. Alternate for each side of the blade and repeat 3-6 times. Cleaning - Rinse and immediately dry after use.
