Mary Untier of knots came about through an intercession instead of an apparition. A German nobleman and his wife were having marital problems. He went to a Jesuit priest for counseling. On their last visit the Nobleman brought a ribbon that had been used in their marriage ceremony. The ribbon was a symbol of the couple being tied together as a symbol of unity. The priest held the ribbon next to a statue of Our Lady of the Snows and prayed for the couple to resolve their differences. He asked Mary to untie the knots in their marriage. The ribbon loosened and the couple were able to reconcile.
