This gray Guardianite 4 drawer locking bar is 46 inches long. Measure the height of your filing cabinet to confirm the size you need. The bar needs to be slightly shorter than your filing cabinet and as long as it covers even a portion of the top and bottom drawer it will work. Using the file bar is simple. The hinge is spring-loaded, so once you unlock it, the bar will swing open and out of the way, so you can easily access your files. It won’t interfere when you open and close the drawers throughout the day. It also does not obstruct the function of any adjoining file cabinets. To secure the file cabinet, you simply close the cover on the file locking bar, lower the handle, and insert a padlock at the top. It is easy to install on any standard filing cabinet.
