Ground Elder Herb is also known as the herb gerard, bishop's weed, goutweed, gout wort, and snow-in-the-mountain, and sometimes called English masterwort and wild masterwort. It grows in Eurasia. All aboveground parts are edible (not roots). Fresh, ground elder young leaves are used in cooking. To prepare a tea, use 1-2 tsp of Ground Elder Herb per 1 cup (250 ml) of boiling water and steep, covered for 5-15 minutes. After this time strain the mixture and drink. To make a tincture, 50 g of Ground Elder Herb pour 250 ml of 40-60% alcohol. Close the jar and leave it for at least 14 days. After two weeks, filter, pour into a bottle and use.
