Chapter 2: Canada The Rocky Mountaineer is one of Canada's most famous train journeys. Starting from Vancouver, it travels across British Columbia and through the spectacular Rocky Mountains to Banff. The journey takes you across the grasslands of British Columbia, past virgin forests, glacial lakes, and the towering peaks of the Rockies. Chapter 3: South Africa The Blue Train is South Africa's most famous train. Its picturesque journey from Pretoria to Cape Town takes you past the gold fields of the Witwatersrand, into the lush agricultural belt of the Northern Cape, through the diamond fields of Kimberly, and finally through the wine lands of Cape province. Along the way you will see the stark desert of the Karoo, the purple-hued mountains of the Cape, and the lush scenery of the South African coast. With fantastic views of wildlife and flora, this is a train journey not to be missed.
