A little about Mis' Rubin's southern classic since 1935 Mis' Rubin's Seasonings is the continuation of one couple's American Dream. Before long, the spices became affectionately known as Mis' Rubin's seasonings. When Penny Profit closed its doors, locals were afraid they would lose what had become a beloved Montgomery tradition. Black Magic and White Magic, as the seasonings were called, were in high demand. The recipes were passed down to family, but did not become available until recently. In recognition of the role Penny Profit played in Montgomery history, Mis' Rubin's Seasonings are featured in shops of the Governor's Mansion and the State Capitol.
