Time-tested Techniques

For maximum smoothness, taste and aroma, our matcha powder undergoes the following processes:

• Shade-grown: Prior to harvest, our matcha is shaded for 3-4 weeks to increase chlorophyll and L-theanine content for added color and nutrients
• Hand-picked: We select only the most delicate, youngest leaves from first harvest crops for our ceremonial grade matcha
• Stone-ground: After removing veins and stems to improve texture and taste, the leaves are slowly ground into an ultrafine powder
• Airtight packaging: Produced in small batches, our matcha powder is sealed to prevent damaging oxidation from air and light. This keeps our matcha fresh, vibrant and delicious
