Impeller repair kit for Mercury outboard motor applications with .456" inside diameter impeller. Please Note Important Information: 4, 4.5 & 7.5 hp motors, Mercury used 2 different diameter drive shafts within the same serial number range, this repair kit is for the larger, or .456" inside diameter, impeller. If you have the smaller, or .438" inside diameter, impeller, this is not the correct kit for your application. We have been asked many times if there is a way to determine which size shaft a particular motor was built with. Unfortunately, for a time, Mercury used both diameter shafts during production so the only way to determine which shaft your motor has is to drop the lower unit & measure it.
