Garfield - A Tail of Two Kitties

Product Description America's favorite fat cat is back, and this time, he's giving England the royal treatment! It's a British invasion of a different kind when Garfield, along with pals Jon and Odie, travels to London and meets his mirror-image in Prince, an aristocratic kitty who has inherited a fabulous castle. The two trade places, and soon Garfield is living large as only he can! There's just one problem: the dastardly Lord Dargis wants him out of the picture. A Tail of Two Kitties is twice the laughs and double the fun for the whole family... It's good to be the king! Additional Features Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties has two cuts of the film on the single-sided disc. The extended version is only playable in widescreen, while the original theatrical version is only playable in full-screen. Presumably the assumption (not always correct) is that kids who won't watch movies in widescreen are the same kids who won't sit through the longer version. Either way, the extended version of is only 8 minutes longer, stretching the running time from 78 minutes to 86. The added footage is minor, most prominently in a new scene in which Lord Dargis discovers the animals having a pool party. Other features are a Brian Anthony music video "Come and Get It," creator Jim Davis demonstrating how to draw Garfield, Odie, and Pooky, one exclusive "Garfield" comic strip, and two decent games. The photo matching game has some value in teaching spatial relations, and the garden-maze game is in the looks-good-but-gets-annoying-really-fast vein. --David Horiuchi
