Famous for centuries for its sweet soothing lasting scent and for beautiful pale blue to dark violet blooms. Flowers can be used dried in sachets, wreaths, and arrangements, and as a tea for headaches or exhaustion. Hardy perennial reaching 3', woody shrublike plant with grey-green needle-like foliage and lavender flowers growing on long-stemmed spikes. Attracts small pollinating insects and syrphid flies. Certified through Zone 5 climates but ours have been successfully cultivated in a Zone 3 area for 10 consecutive years! Our seeds are high yield and hardy and will do well in harsher, cooler climates! Culture: Likes well-drained alkaline sandy soil. Germinates in 21 days at 6070°.
