Fit between the two outside rollers on an ATV or UTV winch fairlead.Work with steel roller fairleads or aluminum hawse fairleads. Free spool winch, and pull out approx. 2 feet of cable. Pull hairpin and release clevis pin from the winch hook. Remove the four bolts that fasten the two halves of the Split Hook Cable Stopper together. Place the cable or rope between the two halves, insert the four bolts, then tighten. Re-attach hook to cable end. To stow the hook, grip clutch, and retract cable on winch spool until hook is snug against hook stopper and fairlead. Position the hook stopper at approx. 3/4 of the total line distance towards hook, while using your winch.
