From Far Enough Away Everything Sounds Like The Ocean Is the debut release from Stockholm's Simon Stålhamre, the gentleman behind Small Feet, The album will be released on the Control Freak Kitten label in Europe and will be released on Barsuk Records in the USA on August 14th. Like Jason Molina, Stålhamre has a voice that can swim out of a sinking heart. His emotional subtlety calls upon the dry humour of Bill Callahan, combining it with the stage conscious flourishes of David Bowie, while there's a buoyancy to his language that floats his warm tenor to the heights of Neil Young, at the same time allowing him to echo Daniel Johnston's inspired innocence. Produced by Stålhamre and Jacob Snavely (Ex Dag For Dag / Little Gang) the album also features acclaimed Norwegian singers Ane Brun and Rebekka Karijord.
