Two high-school sweethearts get married, and then find that married life isn't what they thought it would be. In their desperation, they get mixed up with a gang of car thieves. MARRIED TOO YOUNG is a dramatic story full of juke joints, hot rod thrills, back seat dating, outraged parents, and troubled teens. The backstory of this film is equally interesting: Faced with an unfinished screenplay, Headliner Productions brought in cult legend Edward D. Wood Jr., who had previously written The Sinister Urge (1960) and The Violent Years (1956) for the company. Receiving no credit, Wood completed the screenplay which deals with auto racing, car theft and kids who marry too young. Starring Harold Lloyd Jr. (son of the silent comedian) and Jana Lund (Frankenstein 1970), MARRIED TOO YOUNG is now available for the first time in an authorized release from the original 35mm vault elements, presented in 1.66 widescreen. This DVD contains a bonus second feature, Headliner's THE VIOLENT YEARS (also written by Ed Wood), which tells a seedy tale about the teenage daughter of wealthy parents who don't seem to make time for her. What does she do? Go out looking for thrills as the leader of her all-girl gang who steal, rob, and rape young men.
