Remove the battery cover, install batteries and press power button once to start the machine. 2. Remove the cap to expose the needle electrodes. 3. Select the appropriate wood calibration scale A, B, C, D by pressing "MODE" button. 4. Push the needle pins into the wood and observe the reading. Press "Hold" key once to hold the reading display.  5. Read the current ambient temperature. Press C/F switch key to switch between the Degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit 6. Turn OFF the instrument. Care & Maintenance: When the instrument is not in use, please store it in a dry, dust-free environment out of direct sunlight. Remove the battery from the instrument if it is to be stored for periods of more than one month. Battery Replacement: When the low battery icon appears on the display, replace the battery as soon as practical.
