Here is how it works this sundial compass Clock
1. Lay this Sundial/Compass on a flat place in the sunshine. I use an outside picnic table to lay it on.
2. Push the button that looks like a watch winder. The spring loaded top will pop open.
3. Turn the Sundial/Compass until the compass needle is pointing to the North mark on the inside of the Sundial/Compass
4, Shut the top of the Sundial/Compass gently so as not to turn it and change the North setting.
5. Now very gently pull up the Sundial arm until it is pointing straight up. (Or you can pull the sun dial arm up before you open the top)
