Tea Description This is a 100% certified organic tea from Assam. The look of the leaves reflects the craftsmanship of the maker which tells that it has been well rolled. The leaves are uniform in appearance and colour (tending toward darkish black-brownish tinge). There appears a sprinkle of golden tips which shows that the leaves are from the tips. The fragrance is floral which is of typical orthodox Assam tea. Infused Leaf Infused leaves have shades of brown and copper and upon 1st infusion, it wasn't completely unfurled . This along with strong presence of floral fragrance of the wet leaves shows its potential to be re brewed at-least one more time. Liquor The color of the liquor is golden copper and has the same floral attributes as that of the leaves, malty, a thick liquor having a round overall taste. The tea is bright in appearance with no astringency, and a gently sweet floral along with citrusy twang subtly felt at the tip as we sip the tea. It has a sweet aftertaste which lingers for a while. Flavours of local flowers were distinctly felt which lingers around in the mouth. In all, this is a light tea, mild in taste and may be taken without sugar or milk unlike other strong teas of Assam.
