Timing Chain Locking Wedge Tool: -- Makes you have extra wiggle room for removing phaser. -- The end wedge resists damage from the timing chain and the rod allows the wedge to get deep enough. -- When doing camshaft/phaser work, push down on this timing chain locking wedge tool and wiggle to set it as deep as possible, then pull up a little (the chain will come up with the tool), and you then have extra wiggle room for removing phasers. (Note: Do not remove the tool at any time during service. If the tool is removed, the timing chain will move out of time and the front cover will have to be removed to re-time the engine.)
