The engine coolant temperature sensor is installed in the engine block water jacket or coolant pipeline. It is in contact with the coolant to detect the coolant temperature of the engine. After the ECU receives the temperature signal, it modifies the fuel injection time, ignition time and idle speed. Common symptoms of ECT sensor damage: Engine overheating. Difficult starting. Idling speed is poor. The engine emits black smoke. The electric fan is not working properly. The fuel economy is poor. Coolant leaks. The engine fault lamp lights up, and so on. Please note: Remove the wire connector from the sensor. Use a deep groove or open-end wrench to loosen the sensor. Tighten the new sensor and connect the plug. Please note that when the old plug is removed, the coolant will spray out. So please turn off the new sensor and be prepared to try to reduce the loss of coolant.
