The engine coolant temperature sensor is installed in the engine block water jacket or coolant pipeline. It is in contact with the coolant to detect the coolant temperature of the engine. After the ECU receives the temperature signal, it modifies the fuel injection time, ignition time and idle speed. Common symptoms of ECT sensor damage: Engine overheating. Difficult starting. Idling speed is poor. The engine emits black smoke. The electric fan is not working properly. The fuel economy is poor. Coolant leaks. The engine fault lamp lights up, and so on.
