Thousands of murders go unrecorded every day. Life is precarious for the wild inhabitants of the savannahs, rain forests, and oceans of Africa. The world goes about its business as numerous species slip toward extinction, destined to return only as ghosts that will haunt humanity – after it’s too late… Meanwhile, a drama of violence and deception plays itself out on a stage that ought to be innocent of such horrors. Middlemen smuggle rare plants, insects, and body parts to merchants around the world. Like drug syndicates, traffickers and thieves earn hefty profits at the expense of our planet’s future. The only safeguard against the continuance of this slaughter is the E.S.P.U. – the Endangered Species Protection Unit. This is their story.
