While these brackets do offer some load support, due to the lack of a center brace in their design, they do not offer ridged support and will have some flex. The bracket's strength originates from the 1/4" thick x 2" wide piece of metal at the elbow of the bracket, so the longer the bracket is the more flex you will have.
