Isis is the ancient Egyptian Goddess of maternal love and healing. Her magical powers govern the skies and the natural world. She helps ease the dead into the afterlife. In the late New Kingdom, Isis sometimes wore Hathor's cow-horn headdress, often interpreted as a crescent moon. Because the moon has been a Goddess symbol from ancient times through today, I added a slightly abstract 7/8 x 3/8" (20x9mm) cultured freshwater pearl moon above her head.
