Comfrey is a gardener’s best friend. Comfrey roots will break up compacted soil, mulch trees and shrubs, feed livestock, attract beneficial pollinators, and make a wonderfully quick compost tea. Comfrey is a hardy perennial growing between 36 and 60 inches high and is easy to grow from seed. It grows well in most soils in Zones 4 -9 and can be cut (and come again) three or four times in a growing season. Germination is best at 68 75 F. Zones: 4 - 9 Water: Moderate Light: Full Sun/Part Shade Sow in spring or fall. Soak seeds in water in the fridge for 48 hours or more, then sow seeds on top of warm potting soil at 68-75F and tamp down firmly. Keep moist and in gentle and warm light. Germination 10-30 days. Seeds are for the current and following growing seasons. Growing instructions and plant Images are included on the seed envelope. Seeds are stored in environmental conditions that promote seed life (Dark/Dry/Cool).
