The base is a hickory tree slice so variations are to be expected. No two pieces will ever be alike. Each donut stand can hold up to 8-10 standard donuts. Each doughnut variety is different so this could vary depending on the size of your donut. We do not just glue our pegs in place we ship with the peg loose and this makes for the stand to be cleaned easily for multiple uses and easy storage, our stands are engineered to fit together snug and come with instructions on how to achieve this. We put a light food safe finish on the base for easy cleaning and these will last for years with a simple damp cloth wiping them off after each use.
